"Feyre survived Amarantha's clutches to return to the Spring Court—but at a steep cost. Though she now has the powers of the High Fae, her heart remains human, and it can't forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin's people.
Nor has Feyre forgotten her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court. As Feyre navigates its dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms—and she might be key to stopping it. But only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future—and the future of a world cleaved in two.
With more than a million copies sold of her beloved Throne of Glass series, Sarah J. Maas's masterful storytelling brings this second book in her seductive and action-packed series to new heights. "
Y'all I can't even. I absolutely loved this book!!! Feyre and Rhysand FOREVER!
Starting off this book, my thoughts about how Tamlin and Feyre wouldn't work came so very true. Tamlin turned into a dick (excuse the language but he did). I did feel bad for him tho when Feyre was about to call off the wedding, like man that has to suck! But a good call on her part.
Rhysand is a dreamboat like wow. He's the perfect guy (high lord.. however you wanna spin it). His and Feyres connection is apparent from the very beginning they are meant for each other. I rather enjoyed the fact that they didn't ultimately fall in love but it progressed over the course of the book.
I truly don't believe in love at first sight so I LOVED that they started as enemies (on Feyre's part) then slowly became friends and then mates. I loved it.
Even their little family became stronger over the course of the novel. It was magic.
I would have liked to see Tamlins side of these events through this eyes and know of what went on in the Spring Court during this whole debacle and how his arrangement with Hybern truly came about.
Something that confused me through out the book was the Mortal Queens. I don't know if it just went over my head or what but I didn't like their part in the book at all it was just way to much. There are already enough rulers in the series to begin with I didn't see the point of adding so many more.
Over all I loved this book and have already recommended it to numerous friends!
